Description
The construction of the Abbey of Neumunster started in 1606 after the Benedictine Abbey of Altmunster was seriously damaged. It comprises a church and four buildings grouped around an inner courtyard. After having been a military hospital until 1867, then a men's prison until 1980, it is now used for socio-cultural purposes.
