Nam Thien Temple which is the old Chinese temple located a few kilometers from Muar that’s dedicated to San Chai Ya & Lord Buddha/Sakyamuni.
A Daoist temple in Malaysia and well known even to Singaporeans. They will arrive in busloads with just one objective - homage to the presiding deity Sin Chai Yeh (Lord of Virtuous Prosperity).The temple is small, with a Buddhist annex. It was erected by a medium that is rumoured to have healed a previous Sultan. The temple collections go to supporting several charities, including the school of the same name next door. A small market lies outside, peddling well known Malaysian trinkets and herbs.
